As Europe strives to meet its ambitions for adult participation in learning and training, the 6th Policy Learning Forum (PLF) on upskilling pathways for all adults brings together European and national stakeholders to explore inequalities in adult skills development. Moving from evidence to policy responses, participants will discuss how to address these inequalities and strengthen opportunities for all adults.
Organised by Cedefop and the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), the forum brings together policymakers, social partners, practitioners and civil society organisations to discuss inequalities in skills development and their implications for adults’ opportunities to develop and use their skills.
Through presentations, panel discussions and stakeholder exchanges, participants will examine inequalities in adult learning, including unequal opportunities to learn at and through work, particularly for inactive adults and workers in jobs with limited learning opportunities.
Drawing on evidence, policy experience and practice, the forum will explore policy responses and forward-looking approaches to ensure all adults can develop, apply and build on their skills throughout life.
The event is open by invitation only.
The event is part of the European Skills and VET Week, an initiative of the European Commission, organised by Cedefop. The Week aims to boost the visibility and attractiveness of vocational education and training (VET) and adult learning in the EU. It also contributes to the forthcoming VET Strategy and Quality Jobs Act.
