As EU Member States strive to enhance the quality and effectiveness of their apprenticeship schemes, Cedefop organises this 6th Policy Learning Forum to support policymakers to identify strengths and areas for improvement. Through mutual exchange, it analyses how social dialogue can support the introduction and implementation of quality elements. in their apprenticeship schemes.
The 6th Policy Learning Forum, taking place on 7 October, brings representatives of governments, employees’ and employers’ organisations and apprenticeship experts from the EU and selected assession countries. Participants will explore how social dialogue contributes to raising and sustaining high-quality apprenticeships.
Presentations and workshops will provide cross-country and national insights on ways to improve apprenticeship though the active involvement of social partners in their design and implementation. Successful approaches and achievements will provide lessons for main apprenticeship stakeholders in other countries to strengthen apprenticeship quality.
By highlighting strengths, examining challenges and illustrating successful approaches, the even will support policymakers prioritise future actions that can make apprenticeships more effective, inclusive, responsive, and attractive.
The event is organised for members of Cedefop’s Management Board (representatives of governments, employees’ and employers’ organisations), members of Cedefop’s Community of apprenticeship experts and representatives from assession countries as part of the European Training Foundation (ETF) delegation.
The event is part of the European Skills and VET Week, an initiative from the European Commission, organised by Cedefop. The Week aims to boost the visibility and attractiveness of vocational education and training (VET) and adult learning in the EU.
