This report presents a comparative statistical analysis of skills development through continuing vocational training (CVT) in EU enterprises, using data from the Continuing Vocational Training Survey (CVTS). The analysis focuses on data collected during the latest survey round, for 2020, and compares them with the data collected in 2015.
The report examines employer-sponsored CVT across EU Member States, North Macedonia, Norway and Serbia, high - lighting the contributions of CVT to achieving key policy objectives, such as expanding adult learning and reducing inequalities. The study distinguishes between CVT courses and other forms of CVT, analysing data on CVT incidence, participation, intensity and expenditure. Despite an overall decline in the CVT provision between 2015 and 2020, the report identifies variations across countries and enterprise size classes. The findings underscore the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on CVT activities and provide insights into the evolving landscape of CVT in Europe
