The Timeline of VET policies in Europe is an interactive tool that makes it easy to explore national policies and initiatives in vocational education and training (VET) and lifelong learning (LLL). The tool contains more than 1 000 national strategies, pieces of legislation, and practical measures from the EU-27, Iceland and Norway.

The tool supports monitoring and analysis of the implementation of European priorities in VET, currently set in the Council Recommendation on VET and the Herning Declaration. Cedefop in cooperation with the ReferNet, its European network of expertise in VET, works continuously to collect, organise, and update information for the users to follow reforms over time, compare approaches across countries, and gain inspirational ideas. Combined with the information in the VET in Europe database, the Timeline provides a comprehensive picture of the VET system and policies in a given country and across Europe. Thematic and country reports based on the data provide in-depth insights into specific themes or countries.
