The 2008 European Awards for Lifelong Learning were given to fifteen outstanding projects in the field of education and training funded by the European Union; the focus this year was on "quality in mobility".
The prizes were handed over by the European Commissioner for Education, Training, Culture and Youth, Jn Figel', and the Slovenian Minister of Education and Sport, Milan Zver, at a conference in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
