Teachers and trainers are the backbone of high-quality vocational education and training (VET). To deliver excellence and care for inclusion, they need continuous opportunities to update their technical, pedagogical and transversal competences. Cedefop supports the implementation of European strategic objectives for accessible, high-quality professional development for all VET teachers and trainers.

Continuing earlier activities on older workers and lifelong learning, this project aims to increase understanding of and provide new insights into ageing and work through new research. Its purpose is to support evidence-based active ageing policies in the context of widespread population ageing in many western societies.
