Employment, Social Policy and Health - Informal ministerial meeting

The informal meeting of EU Ministers for Employment, Social Affairs and Health will concentrate on the challenges posed by globalisation and changes to the populations age structure.

Sub-themes of the meeting are the productivity and quality of employment, workplace health promotion and the prolonging of the careers of men and women using social policy. Population change is a topical issue, as the Commission is preparing a communication on demographic chance. The intention is that it will issue the communication in the autumn.
