Recommendation of the European Parliament and of the Council on the establishment of a European Quality Assurance Reference Framework for Vocational Education and Training

The Council adopted the recommendation of the European Parliament and of the Council on the establishment of a European Quality Assurance Reference Framework for Vocational Education and Training.

It aims at helping member states to promote and monitor continuous improvement of their vocational education and training systems, based on common European references.

This instrument constitutes a quality assurance tool that can be used as a systematic approach to modernising education systems by improving the effectiveness of training.

For the purposes of this Recommendation, definitions are based on Cedefop's Glossary on Quality in Training.
