On his first official visit to India, the European Commissioner for Education, Training, Culture and Youth, Jn Figel' signed a Joint Declaration with his ministerial counterpart in the field of education.
With this Declaration the European Commission and the Government of India aim to reinforce their cooperation in the form of a policy dialogue on key issues in education.
