On equal treatment of men and women in matters of employment and occupation

The objective of the proposal is to contribute to legal certainty and clarity in the implementation of the principle of equal treatment between men and women in the area of employment and occupation, by bringing together in a single text the main provisions existing in this field, as well as certain developments arising out of wellsettled case-law of the European Court of Justice.
