UNESCO-UNEVOC's BILT project has the pleasure to host a webinar in partnership with the European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training (CEDEFOP) on the current trends in European TVET.

Anastasia Pouliou (CEDEFOP) and Jens Bjørnåvold will present the findings of a wide-ranging and in-depth study on ‘The future of vocational education and training’ (CEDEFOP, 2019-2022) to the global TVET audience. The publication of this study marks 20 years since the Copenhagen Declaration encouraging European cooperation on VET. This cooperation has sparked the development of a range of common EU-wide regional instruments (including the European Qualification Framework and VET Quality Frameworks), EU working groups, and cooperation in data collection.

This webinar will discuss a range of topics included in the study:

  • Developments in VET content and curricula
  • Changes to VET delivery models
  • New and changing assessment methods

The webinar will also address how the link between initial and continuing VET is being made. A Q&A session will invite reflections on the presented trends from TVET stakeholders in other regions.
