ENQA-VET is a voluntary forum in which the stakeholders at different levels in the field of VET can exchange experiences and views, build consensus, raise awareness and network.

At present, the Network comprises 23 members of the Member States and the EFTA countries together with representatives of the European social partners. The Commission (DG EAC) plays an overall monitoring role, with the assistance of Cedefop, and the ETF liaises with the candidate countries which are invited in the General Assembly meetings as observers.

ENQA-VET is coordinated by a Board which acts on behalf of the General Assembly. Its secretariat is assured by FETAC, the contractor, which signed the contract with the European Commission, for the execution of the Grant Agreement for the network's programme 2008-09. The Member State assuring the European Presidency is automatically invited to participate in the Board meetings.

ENQA-VET holds two General Assembly meetings each year and is divided into working sub-groups on specific themes. It will carry out a series of studies and peer learning visits and will organise two major European conferences. To bring together the European and national/local levels to improve dissemination of the outcomes of its work and the flow of information between the levels, the Network is currently setting-up the National Quality Assurance Reference Points.

Ms. Tina Bertzeletou, Cedefop's project manager is regularly participating in the ENQA-VET meetings
