There are clear signs that the coronavirus crisis and its transformative impact is making it more difficult to thrive in jobs without solid digital skills. Presenting the latest evidence, this workshop looked at how digital skills are growing in importance and reflected on how information on digital skills can be turned into digital skills intelligence.  

Speakers

Jiri Branka

Jiri Branka is a Cedefop expert in the Department for skills and the labour market. He leads the Skills Panorama project and is also responsible for data quality and analysis within the Skills in online job advertisement project.

Jakub Kajtman

Jakub is a member of the digital skills team in DG Connect, European Commissions. He contributes to the activities and coordination of the Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition and of EU Code Week.

Konstantinos Pouliakas

Konstantinos Pouliakas is an Expert on Skills and Labour Markets at the European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training (Cedefop). He is coordinator of Cedefop’s Skills and Work team and leads Cedefop’s projects on Digitalisation, AI and the Future of Work and Anticipating and Matching skills.

Matteo Sostero

Matteo Sostero is a scientific officer at the European Commission – Joint Research Centre in Seville, in the Human Capital and Employment unit, where he researches skills intelligence from online job advertisements.

Alessandro Vaccarino

Alessandro Vaccarino is a Senior Big Data Engineer and Data Scientist at Burning Glass Technologies. He's responsible of European Applied Research projects and of the WollyBI Platform, aimed to analyze EU Labour Market demand.
