About 21st century workforce

The ageing and shifting demography of the EU population and workforce has significant consequences for employment, skills, and economies. Our work focuses on understanding the implications of changing demographics for EU skill supply and skill demand. It also investigates how ageing, migration and other demographic pressures affect skill mismatches. Our analysis aims to support evidence-based active ageing policies that can promote the retention and better use of the skills of ‘silver’ and other vulnerable workers.
