Cedefop and Eurostat are continuing their novel joint work on analysing Online Job Advertisements (OJAs) in the context of the Web Intelligence Hub. The Landscaping Workshop forms a core part of the project, bringing together International Labour Market Country Experts (ICEs), National Statistical Institute (NSI) representatives, researchers and developers to discuss the latest trends in European labour markets, explore opportunities for further developments and address arising challenges.
Organised by Eurostat and Cedefop, the workshop will bring together NSI representatives, ICEs, researchers and developers on 19-20 October at Cedefop premises in Thessaloniki to explore the latest trends in European labour market demand as expressed in OJAs and beyond.
Participants will engage in discussions around core aspects of the project, including assessing the representativeness of OJAs of the European labour market vacancies, the evaluation of existing web sources and identification of new ones, methods for providing real-time improvements in the quality of the collected data, emerging trends in the demand for new roles across the EU27 Member States, the EFTA countries and the UK, further exploring the role of EURES vacancies, assessing technical aspects of the data collection and analysis processes, and others.
The discussions aim to assess the current status of project developments, identify key areas for improvement in the collection and classification pipelines of the OJAs, deliver insights via cross-country comparisons of the collected data and their representativeness of the labour markets, and further strengthen the collaboration between Eurostat, Cedefop, EURES and the NSIs.
The event is open by invitation only.
