7th Lifelong Learning Days in Bulgaria

The Lifelong Learning Days in Bulgaria have been organized by the Institute for International Cooperation of the German Adult Education Association in cooperation with the Federation of Societies for Support of Knowledge for 6 years now.

The aim of the Lifelong Learning Days is promotion of lifelong learning and continuing education in Bulgaria and fostering closer co-operation and networking between the public administration, the private an the NGO sector. With this discussion forum we take the opportunity to strengthen our lobbying activities in the political circles and the ministries in Bulgaria for better integration of the lifelong learning concept in the national legislation.

The Lifelong Learning Days will also contribute to raising the attractiveness of continuing education to all people and thus enable them to better organize their own lives and to improve their employment and career opportunities.

The 7th Lifelong Learning Days in Bulgaria will put a special focus on:

• the validation and recognition of non-formal and informal learning
• the interaction between education and training and the labour market
