Skills governance in Slovenia
The Slovenian Ministry of Labour, Family, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities reached out to Cedefop to seek expert advice with regards to setting up a Skills Forecasting system and to improve the governance of skills anticipation and matching in the country. Cedefop agreed to organise a first online workshop which was dedicated to sharing information and expertise on skills forecasting.
This workshop provided a platform for stakeholders from Slovenia to meet with experts from Cedefop’s Skills Forecast network and receive technical advice on how best to proceed with setting up a national system, taking into account data availability in the country. Particular emphasis was placed on the challenges of organising and implementing skills forecasts in a small country.
