In 2018, the Erasmus+ Fit2Com Skills Alliance project created, piloted and certified a new ’expert in comfort & healthy footwear manufacturing’ EQF level 5 qualification and corresponding training. It aims to address the demand for comfortable, healthy and fashionable footwear in the project partner countries of Germany, Spain, Portugal and Romania.
The partners accessed existing expertise in Europe, including fashion, materials, technology and market demand. A training programme developed within the project is available in German, English, Spanish, Portuguese and Romanian and offers a wide range of e-learning content combined with work-based activities. It targets learners who want to develop competences in creating comfortable and healthy footwear and have prior knowledge/experience in footwear design and manufacture.
