A thesaurus is the most effective documentary tool in existence, allowing high-quality indexing (description of content and characteristics) and high-performance information searching (giving increased precision and simplifying recall).
The third edition of the European Training Thesaurus (ETT) has now been released. It is a bilingual publication (ENglish-French) and contains over 2500 terms related to vocational education and training (VET).
The ETT is an essential working tool of Cedefop's informaiton and documentation service, currently used t index and retrieve information from Cedefop's bibliographical database,. It is also used by ReferNet-European Network of Reference and Expertise, when indexing. It will in the future to be used within Cedefop's new webportal.
