Briefing note: World class competition in training: advanced economies

This note looks at some European VET priorities, namely raising the image and attractiveness of VET, making VET more responsive to labour market needs and identifying and anticipating skills needs and takes some selected examples of policies in those areas in Australia, Canada, Japan and the United States.

Some broad comparisons with the EU are then made.
