The theme of the conference is: how can creativity, production, internet accessibility and the use of quality web content be promoted? Promoting creative content is important because it is a way to reinforce European values among the EU citizens and in an increasingly globalised world. Creative content is conveyed nowadays through new technologies.
The challenge is thus how best to exploit the opportunities offered by internet accessibility, media literacy, mobile TV, licensing and business models while at the same time accommodating the diversity of cultural expression.
