Commission Communiation on "Implementation of the Barcelona objectives: concerning childcare facilities for pre-school-age children"

This report reviews the progress made towards achievement of the Barcelona objectives in the Member States and identifies the obstacles and challenges with regard to the development of childcare facilities for pre-school-age children.

It fits within the context of the actions provided for in the "Roadmap for Equality between Women and Men (2006-10)" and provides a basis for the ideas and initiatives presented by the Commission to promote a better work-life balance.
