European Researchers' Night, celebrated on 25 September, is an annual event funded by the European Commission under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions and taking place in 300 cities across Europe.
Now in its 10th year, it aims to promote the researchers' role and bring them closer to citizens.
Cedefop was a communication sponsor of the gathering in its host city, Thessaloniki. Thousands of people flocked to the city's port to find out more about research in various fields and interact with those behind it.
Many visited the Cedefop information stand and showed interest in the agency's publications and its role in promoting learning for work.
