World Teacher's Day

Each year on October 5, we thank the 60 million teachers who contribute to sustainable development by building its human foundation - nurturing each childs capacity and desire to learn.

World Teachers Day commemorates the signing of the UNESCO/ILO Recommendation concerning the Status of Teachers (1966), which defines the responsibilities and asserts the rights of teachers.
