Expert on adult education joins Cedefop

Grethe Haugoy has worked with lifelong learning issues since 1993, first as an adult education teacher in Oslo and later as a senior adviser at Vox, the Norwegian centre for lifelong and workplace learning.  At Vox she worked on basic skills for adults and on the validation and accreditation of prior learning.
 
A former Director of Adult Education Services in Sandefjord, she has most recently served as Director of the Department of Schools and Kindergartens in that city. At Cedefop, she is writing a guide for policy-makers on the changing roles of VET teachers and trainers.
