The projects awarded included e.g. developing a credit system for vocational education and training (VET) and producing support materials for on-the-job learning abroad.
The Finnish Minister of education and science Antti Kalliomki and Commissioner Jn Figel presented the awards on 4 December in Helsinki, on the eve prior to the meeting of the European ministers responsible for VET. The ceremony was preceded by the international conference From Copenhagen to Helsinki organised on 4 December by the Centre for International Mobility, CIMO, in collaboration with the Finnish Ministry of Education and the European Commission.
The event targeted a broad audience, including policy makers, social partners, Leonardo da Vinci agencies and VET practitioners. Cedefop was represented by Manfred Tessaring who informed the 300 international experts on the progress achieved within the framework of the Copenhagen process and the future challenges for VET.
