The EESC's plenary session on 25 and 26 February 2009, chaired by its president Mario Sepi, will hold a debate with Jacques Barrot, Vice-President of the European Commission responsible for Justice, Freedom and Security, on a common EU immigration and asylum policy.
The EESC will also discuss and adopt a series of key opinions on sustainable production and consumption and civic service in Europe.
