EU as Global Actor A Conference on Knowledge and Education for Sustainable development

The overall priority of the EU Lifelong Learning Programme, LLP, is that general education and vocational training shall contribute to achieving the goals of the Lisbon Strategy making EU the most competitive economy in the world, reaching a higher degree of social cohesion and strengthening sustainable development.

LLP also affects ecological and social issues, improving the contribution of Lifelong Learning to active citizenship, intercultural dialogue and respect for human rights. The EU is one of the key actors in this work.
