The first study (Lot 1) aims at investigating the skill needs within the Social care sector, how they can be better addressed through training and what the role of quality assurance in preparing the working force could be to better serve its end users, the vulnerable groups. The study is based on the skill gaps approach; it should cover the whole sector and focus on the service providers.
The second study (Lot 2) aims at analysing the different approaches on accreditation of VET-providers in 6 to 8 Member States and 4 to 6 sectors in view of defining their common elements and differences so as to propose a set of guidelines and criteria for accreditation in view of establishing national/regional/sectoral frameworks and of helping VET-providers who wish to apply for accreditation.
