EU Budget 2006 - fostering growth and jobs

In 2006, the biggest increase of funding from EU budget is for: competitiveness (+4.4%), cohesion (+4.5%) and the EU as a global partner(+9.5%) - these figures reflect EU priorities.

Dalia Grybauskaitė, Commissioner for Financial Programming and Budget, welcomes today, 15th November 2005, the European Parliaments adoption of the EU budget for next year.
