Cedefop started the new season with its annual reception for Greek Members of the European Parliament during the Thessaloniki International Fair (5 September). The reception, which was attended by several MEPs, high-ranking government representatives and education leaders, underscored the agencys growing links to its host city and country.
During the autumn, Cedefop will be organising or co-organising several events, including:
- Tax incentives for education and training (Brussels, 22 September).
- Qualifications for lifelong learning and employability (Thessaloniki, 5-6 October) http://agora.cedefop.europa.eu/qualifications2009/
- Sharing the costs of training in the newer EU Member States (15-16 October).
All events are accompanied by the publication of Cedefop reports. One of these, on the dynamics of qualifications, was published over the summer, along with a report on the relationship between quality assurance and VET certification in the EU Member States.
