In 2026, the Innovative Training Support Centre (IKK), home of the ReferNet Hungary team will welcome their colleagues and partners to the 2026 partnership forum organised jointly with Cedefop.

In this forum, ReferNet members will have the opportunity to discuss issues related to vocational education and training (VET), skills and qualifications, improve their knowledge by sharing information on recent developments in national policies and systems while at the same time hear and learn about the VET system of Hungary. The second of this year’s partnership forum will take place on 20 and 21 May 2026 in Bonn, Germany.

We warmly thank the the Innovative Training Support Centre (IKK), home of the ReferNet Hungary team for hosting the event.

ReferNet is a network of institutions across Europe representing the 27 Member States, plus Iceland and Norway. The network provides Cedefop with information and analysis on national vocational education and training, skills and qualifications. National partners also disseminate information on European VET and Cedefop’s work to stakeholders in the EU Member States, Iceland and Norway. ReferNet publications can be accessed through the ReferNet page on Cedefop’s website.

Ioannis Katsikis
Expert - ReferNet coordinator, Cedefop

Ioannis N. Katsikis is the ReferNet Coordinator at Cedefop. An Innovation Engineer by education, he holds an MSc in Environmental Policy & Management and an MBA: Business Process Management, both from the University of the Aegean, Greece. He is also the holder of an MPhil in Architecture and Space Planning from the School of Architecture at the National Technical University of Athens, Greece. Prior to joining Cedefop, he worked as an Academic Tutor at the University of Athens and as a freelance Strategic Management Consultant (2005-2013) while studying for a PhD at the Athens University of Economics and Business.

He gained valuable experience by participating in major international R&D projects and offered consulting services to national governments (Greece, Romania, Georgia, Turkey) and as a Research Advisor to international organizations (BSEC, EU). He has published more than 170 research papers in academic journals, edited books, and international conferences (such as AOM, SMS, EGOS, BAM, ERSA). He has received three international awards in recognition of his research (AoM, BAM, ERSA).

Éva Mező Zádori
Coordinator, Innovative Training Support Centre of Hungary

Ms Éva Mező Zádori holds the position of Coordinator at the Innovative Training Support Centre of Hungary and is responsible for the ReferNet Project. She holds a degree as a teacher of German language and Physical Education, as well as a degree in economics specialising in international communication. She has been working in the field of vocational education and training since 2000.

She has been responsible for managing international projects such as the Leonardo da Vinci Programme, the Lifelong Learning Programme, and Erasmus+ projects. As a member of the Euroguidance Network for over 20 years, she has gained extensive experience in career guidance and counselling. She has cooperated with teachers, guidance practitioners, and policymakers at European level.

She also delivers training sessions for VET teachers in communication. In addition, she has contributed to the development of various tools, publications, and learning materials for guidance professionals.

Veronika Leiner
Seconded national expert in VET policies and systems - key competences, Cedefop

Veronika Leiner works within the Department for VET and Qualifications (DVQ). She specializes in VET policy research and analysis and contributes to Cedefop’s Key Competences in VET project. 

Prior to this, she worked as a VET expert at the Hungarian National Office for VET and Adult Learning, where she managed the ReferNet project and supported the development of flexible learning programmes. She holds an M.Sc. in Economics from Budapest University of Economic Sciences.

László Zoltán
Head of the Human Resources Development Project Office of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Pécs-Baranya

László Zoltán Piacsek is a professional qualified in the fields of educational sciences and adult education. He is the Head of the Human Resources Development Project Office of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Pécs-Baranya and a member of the methodological working group of the Baranya County Vocational Training Centre.

He has 24 years of professional experience in adult education, with over 15 years of experience in vocational education and training, and has been involved in career guidance for 10 years. He provides professional support to the three-year project titled “Strengthening Career Guidance in the Southern Transdanubia Region,” implemented by the Baranya County Vocational Training Centre with funding from the Swiss Contribution. In his areas of expertise, he regularly conducts research, and his publications and presentations are available online. He is a student at the Doctoral School of Educational Sciences at the University of Pécs.

Eva Toth
ReferNet team member - Hungary

Eva Tóth is a teacher of English in vocational education specializing in AI-integrated pedagogy, digital innovation, and project-based learning. She teaches ESP and ICT project work in the IT sector, embedding artificial intelligence tools and emerging technologies into classroom practice to develop students’ 21st-century and future workforce skills.
 

She actively designs and coordinates international eTwinning, Digital Thematic Week and EU Code Week projects with a strong focus on responsible AI use, digital creativity, and interdisciplinary collaboration. As an eTwinning Ambassador and Code Week Leading Teacher, she delivers workshops and teacher trainings nationally and internationally on digital pedagogy, and innovative project-based methodologies, supporting educators in the conscious and ethical integration of technology.

Ádám Flieber
professional operations manager at the Piarist Kilátó Career Guidance and Labor Market Development, Methodological Center (Piarist Kilátó Center).

Ádám Flieber is a professional operations manager at the Piarist Kilátó Career Guidance and Labor Market Development, Methodological Center (Piarist Kilátó Center).

He has been with the team since 2023, serving as a behavior analyst and trainer. In his present role, he ensures the smooth operation of the staff while maintaining the highest standards of professional quality.

The peer-support program aligns perfectly with his center’s focus on career orientation, decision-making, and future planning, as the program started in 2025 to address the issue of early school leaving. Within the project, apart from overseeing the progress, he is also responsible for the training of peer-mentor teachers and the development of methodological materials.
