The need to provide continuing training for an ageing workforce has led to a proliferation of cost-sharing schemes across Europe and beyond. These include tax incentives, loans, training funds, and individual learning accounts.
The ongoing Agora conference, Investing in people: strategies for financing VET is looking at examples of such strategies many of which involve the social partners as stakeholders and asking how effective and how equitable they are, and to what extent they can be adapted elsewhere.
