The learning continuity: European inventory on validating non-formal and informal learning

This report aims to characterise European validation of non-formal and informal learning, to evaluate differences and commonalities between countries, and to consider the potential for building a European approach. Because the work started before enlargement in May 2004, the new Member States and the candidate countries are not completely integrated in the survey, but will be part of the follow-up activities. The publication of this first European inventory report will be followed by the launch of an Internet-based service providing updated information on methodological and institutional developments in this field.
