Apprenticeship-type schemes and structured work-based learning programmes

These reports on apprenticeship-type schemes and structured work-based learning programmes were prepared by Cedefop’s ReferNet network in 2014. They are part of the series Cedefop ReferNet thematic perspectives and complement other available general information on VET systems by country.

They describe specific features of apprenticeships and work-based learning (WBL) programmes in EU member states, Iceland and Norway: support for companies, in particular SMEs, offering company placements; programme attractiveness and career guidance; national governance, regulatory framework and social partner involvement; quality assurance; and main strengths and weaknesses of these programmes.
