The Vocational Training Council of Xunta de Galicia organised the 1st International Congress of Vocational Training from May 10th to 12th 2006 in Santiago de Compostela (Galicia-Spain).
Cedefop was represented by Mr. J. Manuel Galvin Arribas who opened the first day session delivering the overall presentation for the Congress after an intervention of President of Galicia autonomous community D. Emilio Prez Tourio.
Mr J. Manuel Galvin Arribas' presentation Education and training 2000-2010: the new challenges for lifelong learning in Europe presents a review of VET policies since Lisbon strategy providing a follow-up of key indicators achieving objectives in the context of Copenhagen-Maastricht-Helsinki process.
