The week of 3-8 April is dedicated to Higher Education. UNESCO is the only UN body with a mandate to support national capacity-building in higher education. It plays a leading role in the worldwide reflection on higher education reform. It also provides a platform for dialogue about adapting education systems to the knowledge society and to the challenges of an increasingly globalized world.
