This companion piece to Cedefops medium-term forecast sets out the approach and methods used in the study, and untangles many data-related and other technical issues that were met and resolved. It also reviews the results of the forecast for Europe as a whole and for each country separately (EU-25, Norway and Switzerland).
The aim is to help create a comprehensive system of skill needs projections that offers as much detail as possible and is consistent across Europe.
