Commissioner Vladimir Spidla announced on 1 February 2008 that the Commission has set up a fact finding "Mission for Flexicurity".
The Mission will visit 4-5 Member States, and discuss in depth the state of play as regards the development and implementation of the national pathways based on the common Flexicurity principles, agreed at the European Council in December 2007.
