Governance and Performance of Schools in Europe

In Europe, several organizational and piloting models for academic institutions coexist. The traditional model based on a rigid hierarchical structure shows its limits in terms of performance .

This conference will be an opportunity to confront the diversity of academic institution governance methods within the Member States, especially with regard to autonomy, and to analyse the effects on their evolution on improvement of school performances.

It will bring together 250 European experts, representing headmasters, inspection units, local communities, parent-teacher associations, institutional decision-makers, training coordinators, social and economic stake holders and related organisations.
