DECVET, a pilot initiative to develop a a credit system in vocational training in Germany

In autumn 2007 the Federal Ministry of Education and Research started the pilot initiative DECVET development of a credit system for vocational education and training.

The initiative focuses on the implementation of ten pilot projects in different branches and for various qualifications in order to systematically test a credit system.

The aim of the initiative is to contribute to the educational mobility within and between the different subsytems of the vocational educational system through the collection, recognition and the transfer of learning outcomes.
