Concerning the call for proposals EAC/33/2006 Award of grants for the promotion and coordination of projects to develop credit systems for vocational education and training (ECVET)", the European Commission has decided to fund the ESO-CERT project and four other projects.

The conference ECVET Practical Approaches and Experiences is an opportunity to gain more information about the five projects. The participants will be divided into work groups and the project leaders will inform them about the projects. Everything will be related to current trends in Europe concerning the ECVET.

The conference is organized and carried out within the context of the ESO-CERT project. In this project, the method for the assessment and certification of professional competences, which had been developed in a Leonardo da Vinci project (CEMES), was transferred to credit point systems for vocational training.

The conference is intended for experts, policy makers and others that work in the field of vocational training, for ECVET monitoring groups of the EU, for representative bodies in the context of the EQF and ECVET process and for European companies.
