A statistician joins the skills team

Nick Sofroniou, a UK national, holds a PhD in Psychology from the University of Wales, Bangor, and is a Fellow of the Royal Statistical Society. Before coming to Cedefop he worked at Trinity College, Dublin, where he directed the Irish Longitudinal Study of Ageing and for the Educational Research Centre, Drumconda, Ireland analysing the OECD PISA studies and national assessments of Mathematics and Reading. At Cedefop Nick has joined area Research and Policy Analysis where he will be working on the Employer Survey of Skill Needs in Europe and on Statistics and Indicators.
