As preparations for the European Skills & VET Week 2026 get underway, Cedefop is conducting a baseline survey to capture the views of stakeholders across Europe — from Member State representatives and social partners to VET providers and public authorities.

The timing is deliberate. With the EU advancing landmark initiatives — the Union of Skills and a forthcoming VET Strategy — both firmly anchored in investment in people, lifelong learning and workforce development, this is precisely the moment to listen.
The survey findings will provide an evidence-based starting point for the European Skills & VET Week 2026 campaign, helping map perceptions, expectations and priorities around skills and VET across Europe. The results will support the development of relevant and targeted activities at European and national level.
Turning stakeholder insight into European action
The European Skills & VET Week is intended as a platform for collaboration, exchange and engagement, bringing together stakeholders working across education, training and employment.
Participants are invited to share views on skills shortages, the attractiveness of VET pathways, and the role of lifelong learning in supporting workers through labour market transitions.
