The European Interest: Succeeding in the age of globalisation / Commission Communication

The purpose of this paper is to provide the basis for a strategic policy discussion between the Heads of State and Government at their informal meeting on 18/19 October.

It sets out the next steps on the path mapped out two years ago, and specifically describes how the Lisbon strategy for growth and jobs can continue to provide the backbone for a European approach to globalisation.
