European Youth Week 2005

Youth is the driving force of Europe and the second edition of the European Youth Week, 5 to 11 December 2005, will give them a genuine opportunity to shape their Europe and future. Explore and discuss, get involved and contribute to Europe! These are the messages that Commissioner Figel would like youth to take on during the European Youth Week 2005.

The European Youth Week 2005 (EYW) will this year provide a powerful platform for young people to shape the way that Europe develops and contribute to the implementation of the Commissions Plan D on democracy, dialogue and debate.

Apart from the conference in Brussels, a broad variety of events are being organised at national, regional and local levels all over Europe by National YOUTH Agencies. They highlight the results of the YOUTH programme through concerts, campaigns, workshops and debates. Each country contributes to the overall objective of the EYW by providing young people with the opportunity to participate and make their voice heard.
