Cedefop: building on the past, looking to the future

Vocational education and training (VET) is central to European strategies for lifelong learning, employment, long-term competitiveness and social cohesion. The EU, its Member States and social partners are devising policies to modernise education and training systems to make them the best in the world by 2010. Cedefop, as the EU’s agency supporting VET policy development, is playing a key role.
