Active cooperation between education and employers: Background document to Informal Ministerial Meeting

Central to the informal meeting of Education Ministers will be the partnership between education institutions and employers in relation to support for creativity and innovation.

Against the backdrop of the current financial crisis, undesirable demographic developments, globalisation, technological progress and environmental challenges, the Ministers will discuss the strategic issue of active cooperation between education and all the relevant stakeholders (particularly employers) with regard to the development of Europe in the post-Lisbon period.
