Models of European Citizenship in schools

The goal of the conference is to show how the European debate on Key Competences, in the framework of the Lisbon Strategy, is reflected in school practice. Guided by the Europe competence' indicators, schools in the European Network ELOS consciously prepare pupils (aged 12-19) towards their future as European citizens.

The conference will provide these schools with a platform allowing them to share good practice with other teachers and experts in the field. The outcomes of the conference may serve as an input for European actions in the field of active citizenship in Europe, namely in the framework of the new LifeLong Learning Programme.
