The project offers practical and effective solutions to young people in Spain without a job or qualification, through the development of an innovative model of Second Chance School (E2O).

Supporting educational and social inclusion of young early leavers and those at risk of early leaving through mechanisms of orientation and tutorial action.

In Austria, the ‘Produktionschule’ initiative offers training modules for practical training and work. Through coaching, workshops and sports, young people develop cultural and social skills needed to take part in education or enter the labour market.

In Germany, assisted VET (‘Carpo’) incorporates intensive individual social-pedagogical coaching and guidance, offered by certified social-pedagogues.

The “Introductory training” scheme has been running in Germany since 2004. The scheme funds apprenticeship-like training with a view to helping young people find a regular apprenticeship opportunity.

EPIDE aims to empower young ‘volunteers’ to successfully integrate in society and in the labour market by helping them to consolidate basic skills, to develop their self-esteem and to build a professional project.

The ultimate objective is to guide them towards quality employment.

The LNC focuses on the acquisition of a formal qualification. The purpose is to help participants achieve a vocational qualification at the International Standard Classification of Education (ISCED) level 3 (vocational baccalaureate) over a period of 2 years. 

PSAD aims at early identification of “Early School Leavers” and the enhancement of coordination among local stakeholders active in the fight against early school leaving with a view to making compensatory (‘second chance’) measures more effective.

Reduce early leaving and educational disadvantage and encourage young adults to return to school and complete their studies.

The Italian cooperative ASLAM (VET provider) seeks to respond to the skills needs of the companies in the region of Alto Milanese, by closely cooperating with them.

In Italy, ‘Crafts Square’ offers young people, unemployed young people and adults with an alternative educational offer with a good balance between practical and theoretical courses. The environment created by the ‘Craft Square’ aims to ensure learners feel understood, supported and valued.

In Poland, the Voluntary Labour Corps initiative offers support to young people at risk of early leaving, unemployment or those who are already unemployed. Personalised support, mentoring, vocational counselling, guidance and job matching activities aim to ensure young people find their place in labour market.

ApprenticeshipsNI is demand-led training provision with employers recruiting and retaining apprentices in line with business needs.

In Northern Ireland, the ‘Training for Success’ initiative offers training to help young people develop personal and social skills, employability skills, essential skills in Communications, Application of Number and Information Communication Technology whilst working towards nationally recognised qualifications.
